OOC: Flavius...I'm being Latin teacher temporarily, okay? I only picked this because I love Latin anyways. Magistra Victoria Sylvia I smiled pleasurably, overseeing my work. Purposefully, I stood from my office chair seated at my long, wooden desk, and walked on clacking heeled shoes towards the door. Grabbing the handle, I unlocked the door and swung it wide, propping the foothold. Students mingled in the halls and walked into classrooms, but none had ventured this way yet. My room was organized, so I headed to the front whiteboard to write some vocab terms and sayings we would begin the day by learning. My method was to learn a little each day, read a short story, then translate it with the day's vocab terms, then move on. We would also speak in class frequently, hopefully being able to carry on lengthy conversations within a few months' time. I looked forward to seeing the new students. OOC: Eventually someone else is gonna take over, Flavius, and I won't be Magistra...but I did this since I DO love Latin, anyways...

Hikari slid with an almost catlike gait down the halls. His black leather loafers thudded softly with each step. He had dressed somewhat vibrantly today in a flame-red satin vest over a crisp black shirt, with matching pants and a gray silk coat that flowed shapelessly down his lithe form. English. Religion. Aaaaaaaaaaand Latin. He said to himself as he passed the classes. "Salva sis, Magistra. Quam pulcher tu est hodie." He said to the woman as he stepped inside, as he made his way over to her and extended a slim, elegant hand expectantly.

Masistra Victoria Sylvia
I looked up for a single moment as I heard soft footfalls advancing down the tile floor in the long hall outside my class. Soon enough, a tall, slim figure appeared in the doorway, a male student. He looked fondly around the room and stepped towards me with catlike grace. His clothing was sharp and contrasting, with a bright crimson vest over a black, pressed shirt and long, black pants. Outfitted in a silk, sleek grey coat, he strided confidently towards me. Reaching out his hand, I mirrored and grasped his, listening impressively as a flow of smooth words erupted from his mouth.
"Salva sis, Magistra. Quam pulcher tu est hodie." Nodding and letting a wide grin spread over my face, I was definitely surprised by this newcomer. "Gratias multas, et itavero, Salvus sis! Quomodo te habes?" I looked at him, still impressed, wondering what the extent of his Latin vocabulary was. Naturally, since I had observed thus far that he was of excelling understanding of Latin, I proceeded to add on some brief corrections. "Hikari, am I correct? Just remember, Hikari, pulchra est femininus et pulcher est masculinus." I definitely could be thankful to have a highly knowledgeable student in my class, though I was still excited to meeting the others.

"Ah. I apologize, Magistra." He said with a smile. "Ubi possum sedet, Magistra?" He noticed the riot of colors all around the room. A Medusa glared at him from the wall. A paper-mosaic Legionaire marched behind her. Various Latin phrases graced the wall. He returned his gaze to the tall, brown-haired teacher, mentally berating himself for letting his mind wander. He reached into what his few friends affectionately called his manpurse -he himself preferred the term "Shoulder Bag"- and selected the Latin textbook. His was bound in blue velvet, one of the few concession of blatant wealth he allowed. He had had it custom-made from the manufacturer, the text printed in gold leaf.

Latin. Really, one of the only uses for the language in everyday life would be summoning demons, expelling demons, or just trying to scare a demon by saying God in Latin. Well, for a student, let's just hope that's not the reason why he or she is taking the class. Wait, why was Nanami even taking this class? She already knew Japanese, which was her native language, and English, so why Latin? Wasn't it supposed to be a dead language or something? Oh well. It was just a class. The brown-haired girl had been studying all throughout the Summer, trying to prep herself for this class. All the other classes were simple and easy. Latin? Oh, no, it was wasn't. The words just... Confused her, most of the time. Well, at least she was able to pick out what different words mean and try to form a reasonable sentence that whoever was speaking the Latin might by trying to say. The girl had a long way to go, that's for sure. Pfft, she'd probably have the language completely learned, with the help of the teacher, by the time the first quarter ends. She was pretty good at learning things quickly, and Latin was no exception. Er, anyways. The Japanese girl sighed. She had been standing outside the Latin classroom's door for a few seconds, trying to figure out what the teacher and other student was saying. Nanami shook her head, tightening her grip on her books, the top one being the Latin textbook. Gosh, these things were heavy. The girl took in a deep breath before stepping inside the class. There wasn't really anyone there, except for the teacher and a male student. That figured. Most people would take German, French, or Spanish, never Latin. She didn't really know what to say, her mind seeming to instantly erase the Latin that she had studied over the Summer. So, instead, the girl just nodded slightly in greeting before sitting down in the nearest open seat.
ooc: Grah. I couldn't allow her to say anything because, well, I can't find a good transelator to use. D: Plus, my school doesn't do Latin, so... Yeah...

OOC: Don't worry...I'll be happy to translate words for you, and Flavius over there will be too. We're both in the same Latin class at our school, plus, this class will be doing a lot of speaking anyways. Magistra Sylvia "Optime, Hakari! I'm impressed. You may pick a spot, and set your books down. And I love your textbook, you must have worked on getting it made like it is." I offered him free roam of the room and turned to the door, seeing a second girl walk in. She was quiet and sidled neatly past her to sit in a desk. "Salva sis, Sugita. Welcome to Classis Latina." I smiled briefly and turned to begin writing up on the board. OOC: Oh..and salva/salvus sis is hello.
